Palin, Giuliani, McCain and the GOP insult all Americans who selflessly serve their country in non-military capacities! People who work or volunteer in National Service, the Red Cross, the Peace Corps, union advocates, teachers, emergency workers, AND YES, COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS all serve this country right here on this soil everyday and don't kill any innocent civilians in the process of following orders... I digress, please read Joe Klein's response to Palin & Giuliani on TIME's Swampland blog...

This is what Palin and Giuliani were mocking. They were making fun of a young man's decision "to serve a cause greater than himself," in the words of John McCain.
Or........ they were questioning the limited ways that he exerted himself in his posturing to one day obtain The Oval Office in the sense that there was not a whole lot of sweat involved in this nor did it take a ton of governing skills.
Only as much as was needed to get his name out there, I would say.
There are many who take their perceived excuses for anger and turn it into a cause. While he was doing these things, he admits he was doing drugs and we've seen he was hanging with people who wanted to get things done as well.
Like Ayers. His buddy from college showed himself to be a "geterdone" kind of man. Remember him? He used his position in the community to gain access to places too. Like buildings full of people so he could blow them up. Recall he has but one regret, that being he was unable to effectively blow up MORE stuff before he was caught.
All the liberal bluster won't make us lose track of such facts.

He was not doing drugs then...Obama was 7 years old when Ayers did his crime...do your homework before leaving incorrect posts....or are you following the lead of your party inserting msistatements wherever you find convenient to your argument?
Nope.
Just reading plenty about what I care about and not believing every thing simply because someone said/wrote/posted it.
It's the way I operate.
It's nice to meet you Lisa-295996.

Glad to have you on my side..... ;-)

Lisa - Festive was not saying that Obama was doing drugs then. But how do you know? Talking about drugs according to Hillary Clinton's and Obama's standard is either not good for Obama or against Obama because people asking about his drug use is racist. A real standard for this election. And why? Because Obama says so.

TIME's Swampland blog
An appropriate title for the rubbish written there. Any reasonable person could see that the speeches only were meant to mock Obama's campaigns claim that a community organizer counted equally to running a city or state.
I'm extremely disappointed that the author here sees fit to try and demean the way McCain and his associates feel about our wonderful civil servants. Maybe you should have waited to see McCain's speech before seeding this article. It might have helped you to see that McCain encourages and honors those who do the exact things you mention. I seem to even recall the part of his speech where he honored Obama for such service. Just because they don't equate being an organizer to the level of executive duties that a mayor performs does not mean they discount the value in that work.

There is no interest in facts here. The only interest is tearing down McCain and Palin through every means available. I mentioned the rantings of some general and McCaskill in the most unprofessional exhibition of politics in this election year other than Roland Martin's screams of "racism" after the SC primary and I am told I have no facts. Did you see these exhibitions of media for Obama, when they were presented as fact and without commentary, designed to intimidate McCain into doing what he is doing here. His judgment is right to keep Palin going attacking what is real and trying to avoid what is not, propagated by Obama and his willing media minions. This seeding is merely one piece of confectionary sprinkle on an outsized wedding cake. The problem is that it has been festering in some high temperature location for years, just waiting to burst on the American scene and proclaim himself the leader of the world. We have seen the dangers of others who have made such proclamations. Are we going to heed history or allow those with no knowledge or years bring us down?
